OFF TO KYAJO RI PEAK

This morning I awoke to the realisation of another start to a hard few days!

After another quick breakfast we all revisited the coffee/ bakery shop before starting off. On the way out of Kumbjumb we passing by the famous Hillary School and climbed up to a ridge just above Namche. This is where we said goodbye to Brett, who had decided to leave the expedition to spend time with his family back in Australia. Was disappointed , as he was a fun expedition member.

We traversed down and west before a steep climb up to Mende, a very neat and picturesque village. Our camp was on a local farmers land, and we were of great interest to local children!
