UP TO ADVANCED BASE CAMP
Climbing the “wall” was not as hard as I’d thought. Long and exhausting, but what I thought was almost a vertical climb, was a slow methodical climb up some cracks and valleys of boulders in this wall that you could not see from a Base Camp.
After a hard morning we arrived at an idyllic frozen lake and greeted by our tents our amazing Sherpa’s and porters had already erected for us. The sun disappeared about 3 o’clock in the afternoon, in this high valley and the temperatures plummeted in minutes. Slid into our sleeping bags to stay warm and have a bit of a rest and snooze till the 6 o’clock dinner gong!
