A BOULDER SLOG TO HIGH CAMP

Looking up towards Kyajo Ri we had another “wall” in front of us again, and after preparations in the bitter cold morning getting our climbing gear sorted, and a quick fun practice on some fixed lines etc, we headed for another careful climb up past a frozen waterfall and through endless loose granite boulders.

Was hard work again but this time when we reaches the top of the “wall” we where there! Our little 4 little yellow tents where perched on a small platform on the edge of the wall. We could not see our objective as we were tucked up behind a large rock bump, but the view down the “wall” and right down the valley was spectacular!

Cooked up some Sherpa stew for dinner, and into bed for our early start that night for the summit attempt.
