I discovered you need a mountain of gear to climb a mountain! Even so, today's climbers have it much easier compared with Ed Hillary and Tenzing 1953, and even earlier, the famous Everest attempt of Malory and Irvine in 1924. My gear uses high tech waterproof and breathable fabrics instead of hand knitted wool and serge jackets; plastic thermal climbing boots instead of wet leather boots; and super featherweight materials, all which make climbing far easier and safer, and I hope more fun!
I want to thank Joshua at Bivouac Outdoor, whose expert knowledge greatly simplified the process of assembling all my gear. Bivouac Outdoor
